This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and your rights. We keep it simple, but if anything is unclear, please email us.
Who we are
3Lance Recruitment Solutions Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 13783212. Our registered office is 110 Carlton Avenue East, Wembley, England, HA9 8LY. We are the data controller for the information you give us, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZB326532.
What we collect
If you are looking for work: your name, email address, phone number, postcode or town, the roles you are interested in, the job you are applying for, and your CV (with anything you choose to include in it).
After we have spoken with you, we will ask for further documents, such as proof of identity, right to work in the UK, qualifications or professional registration, an enhanced DBS check and references. We collect these separately and securely, not through this website, and we will tell you more about how we use them at that time.
If you are hiring: your name, your organisation, your contact details and the staff you need.
When you visit our website: we do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you. See our cookie policy.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to find you suitable work or to find staff for your organisation, to contact you about roles, and to meet our legal duties. Our lawful bases are:
- taking steps, at your request, to provide recruitment services;
- our legitimate interests in running a recruitment business;
- legal obligations, such as right-to-work checks and record keeping;
- your consent, where we ask for it, for example before sending marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who can see it
Within 3Lance, only our admin and HR team can see candidate details. We only share your details with an employer for a specific role, and we will talk to you first. We never sell your information.
We use trusted service providers to run our business: Tally (website forms), Microsoft 365 (email and secure document storage), Cloudflare (website hosting), Google Sheets (job listings only, never candidate details) and a recruitment database to manage applications. If we start using any other service, such as an email marketing tool, we will update this notice first.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our service providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
If we do not place you in a role, we keep your details for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless you ask us to keep them longer. If we place you in a role, we keep your records for up to 6 years after your last placement ends, to meet our legal, tax and contract duties. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your information;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it;
- ask us to send it to you or another organisation in a common format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
